Firle Place will remain closed to the public and to private groups for the 2012 season due to on-going restoration works. Events in the Riding School, grounds and parkland will continue as normal so please telephone 01273 858567 for event booking enquiries. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Opening Times

Regrettably, Firle Place will be closed to the public for the 2012 season

Unfortunately, due to substantial restoration work on the roof, the house will be closed for the entire 2012 season. The house, gardens and restaurant are usually open to the public from the start of June until the end of September and could be visited every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Easter Sunday and Monday as well as other bank holiday Sunday and Mondays. From 2013, the house will be open from 14.00 until 16.15 on these days and interesting guided tours will be provided on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Following completion of the work, coach parties and large groups (over 20) will be welcome by prior arrangement on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays during the opening season in the morning or afternoon.

Once the work is complete in 2013, the restaurant will also be open every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from midday.

Due to the age of the house, wheelchair access will be to the ground floor only. Wheelchairs can be provided if required.

Please contact Peter or Penny Woolgar on 01273 858 307 for more information.

Expected 2013 prices:

  • Adults: £6.50
  • OAP & concessions: £6.00
  • Children: £3.50
